I am the director of a cardiac/vascular intervention center. I have successfully created a career ladder for entry level techs to pursue and attain the RCIS credential in 2 year, job class directed format. This is the second facility where I have initiated this program.

The job descriptions are CIS I, CISII and RCIS. They start with the basic bright eyed person who is a monitor tech, ex- military medical tech, etc. and go through the science and RCIS exam. We use Wes Todd's program and exam formats as our validation tools, with completion set up as job requirements, on a timeline to keep candidates on track.
